30 years of festival prizewinners
It has been 30 years since a young cellist introduced himself to the festival audience in the then brand new "Young Elite" series - the rest is a (joint) success story. Today, Daniel Müller-Schott returns as a world star with the program he chose for his first appearance in MV in 1995. "Bach, Prokofiev, Brahms, that was my first concert here. Afterwards, artistic director Matthias von Hülsen came and said he had enjoyed it so much... The next year, I played the opening concert in Wismar as a prizewinner. That was the starting signal for the friendship and long-term collaboration that we now have," recalls the musician.
