Crazy Birds- the AllStarband
The "CrazyBirds" are a Dresden band dedicated to German-language rock music. In addition to their own songs, original songs by the band "electra" and singer Stephan Trepte are presented in concert, not least because two former musicians from "electra" are on stage. The band "CrazyBirds" was founded by drummer Angela Ullrich. She was also the one who founded the first East German girl rock band ( ! ) "NaUnd" and toured with them for years. She has been joined on stage for years by bassist and singer Tom Vogel, guitarist Ecki Lipske and keyboardist and singer Andreas "Bruno" Leuschner. The youngest member of the band is singer and frontman Uwe Hiob, who has the right voice and the feeling for this music. This also makes it possible to sing the indispensable vocal phrases for the songs.
The 2-hour concert includes songs by "electra" ("Nie zuvor", "Tritt ein in den Dom", "Das Bild - aus dem Zyklus - Die Sixtinische Madonna", " Der grüne Esel" and others), as well as songs from the year's most popular album, "Die Sixtinische Madonna" ("Song für Annelie", "Halbes Herz").), as well as the unforgotten singer Stephan Trepte ("Das hab ich nicht so gern", "Wenn die Blätter fallen" and others), who died in 2020. As a reference to such great composers as Franz Bartzsch and Michael Heubach, the songs "Wind trägt alle Worte fort" and "Tagesreise" can be heard, as well as the "Jethro Tull" classic "Locomotive Breath", which became popular in this country through the "electra" version.
