In the summer of 2005, a festival was held for the first time on the coast of central France in an old wooden shipbuilding town called Rochefort. This festival was no ordinary festival, because the vision and intention of the organizer was to bring talented musicians together spontaneously, but not by chance. So Paul Tiernan, a singer-songwriter guitarist from Ireland, and John Lester, a singer-songwriter bassist from the USA, met just 15 minutes before they took to the stage in the courtyard as a duo...and something happened...something magical. Both musicians recognized it and shared it with an audience of thousands on the festival's main stage at the end of the weekend. Paul has been on tour and played with Donovan, Glen Hansard and Morcheeba. John has been on tour and played with Gretchen Peters and Patti Smith.
