The Bundesjazzorchester(BuJazzO) returns to Rheinsberg with an extraordinary program! Under the artistic direction of Theresia Philipp, the young top ensemble of German jazz presents "As We Go" - a concert that questions musical boundaries and opens up new sound spaces with improvisation.
This evening marks the start of the Bundesjazzorchester's new tour - the first under the direction of Theresia Philipp. The celebrated saxophonist and composer brings a fresh perspective to the ensemble: sometimes energetic, sometimes humorous, always with an open view to the future. The music respects the tradition of jazz and at the same time takes bold paths!
Philipp's personal journey through life shapes the program: as a native of Saxony who lives in Cologne and has enriched the nationwide jazz scene for over a decade, she weaves her experiences into the compositions. 35 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, East-West connections become a central theme that shapes the musical landscape of the program and reflects the ongoing cultural fusion.
