As part of Intercultural Week 2024, SPD member of the state parliament Beatrix Hegenkötter invites you to a "Colombian evening". The focus will be on a 25-minute excerpt from the cinema documentary "Territorio Puloui" about the resistance of an indigenous people against resource exploitation and climate change.
"New Spaces" is the motto of this year's Intercultural Week (IKW), which is taking place at the end of September with numerous events throughout Germany.
We also want to set an example for diversity and tolerance and are taking part:
On Friday, September 20, we are hosting a "Colombian Evening " at our office premises at Olof-Palme-Platz 4 in Stralsund.
At 5 p.m., Maik Gleitsmann-Frohriep and Karen Bundelhausen will give insights into Colombia and show a few short films on various topics.
This will be followed by an exclusive 25-minute excerpt from his cinema documentary "Territorio Puloui":
Water Means Survival - A journey to the indigenous Wayuu people in the desert of La Guajira, Colombia, to learn about the resistance of a people facing the effects of resource exploitation and climate change with the power of their faith. An opportunity to find in indigenous cosmology an approach to solving the problems we face as humanity.
The entire film can only be seen at its German premiere on October 4th at the 39th FilmFest in Osnabrück.
Colombian snacks and drinks will be served.
