Claus Boesser-Ferrari will host the International Guitar Festival at the Kunsthalle Kühlungsborn on August 30.
Claus Boesser-Ferrari belongs to the first squad of international representatives of the acoustic guitar.
"It is not too much of a stretch to say that if Hendrix had lived, this is the kind of music he would have been making!"
...writes the New York Jazz Records Magazine about his last Hendrix arrangements....
"....Nobody plays like him..." writes the F.A.Z.
Boesser-Ferrari moves between Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Charles Mingus and ballads by Leonard Cohen.
However, in addition to his own compositions, he also draws on Hanns Eisler, Kurt Weill or plays Winnetou film melodies.
He gives all these titles his very own musical signature, which moves between percussive grooves or lyrical soundscapes. In between, a folk song from Nigeria or a folk song from the 15th century can also appear.
He processes all of this into a single exciting musical structure with great dynamics.
Boesser-Ferrari tours worldwide and has released eight solo CDs on AMR.
He writes film and theater music (for the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Schaubühne Berlin, Schauspiel Zürich and others).
