The UNESCO-listed old town of Wismar shines in festive splendor during the Advent season. The town hall is brightly lit, the colorful gabled houses and the Wismar Christmas star, a Christmas illumination specially designed for Wismar, form a festive backdrop for the Christmas World Heritage Wismar. So the pre-Christmas season can begin with atmospheric events and lots of regional and Scandinavian delicacies, arts and crafts, handmade goods and concerts on the market square, at the Old Harbour and in the streets of the Old Town. All event highlights are within walking distance. Travel by train is recommended due to the proximity to the station.
