Big Christmas tree burning and Christmas tree throwing at the ice rink in the Seepark.
On 13.01.24 it will be hot and crackling in Sellin's Seepark. Then young and old come together for the annual Christmas tree burning. But before the trees go up in flames, they are used for a new Olympic discipline - the Christmas tree toss. As the name suggests, the aim is to see who can throw the dry tree the furthest. To ensure fairness, women, men and children compete against each other in three groups to win the coveted trophies.
The Sellin volunteer fire department will provide refreshments and musical entertainment.
So, dear community, donate your discarded Christmas tree to a good cause and have a lot of fun at the same time. You don't have to do anything except lay the trees (unrigged, please) on the street. The fire department will collect the trees on 07.01.24 and 12.01.24 and bring them to the Seepark.
