Every year shortly before Christmas, people meet in Wismar for a special big band event that has already become a tradition. Young and old, active and former members of the Wismar music scene, friends and families, familiar and new faces and lovers of cultivated big band music come together to celebrate the end of the year in style - this year for the first time in the Zeughaussaal in Ulmenstraße.
The Krümelmonster Band - a young brass ensemble from the Carl Orff NWM district music school led by Jana Rohloff and made up of music students aged 8 to 14 - will kick things off, followed by energetic Christmas jazz from the Wismar big band (also from the district music school) and rounded off by the musicians of the Jellyfish Jazz Orchestra, who will spread a groovy Christmas spirit. Now Christmas can come.
Admission free. The bands are happy to receive a donation at the exit.
