CHRISTIAN REDL - READING: Life has no railings

Growing up in the 1950s under the care of a war-traumatized father, he trained as an actor against his parents' wishes. He then became known to a large audience mainly through his roles in "Der Hammermörder" and in the "Spreewaldkrimis". In his autobiography, he is unsparing about himself and tells of his restless search for success and recognition, of triumphs in the theater, fantastic awards, dangerous relationships and the power of alcohol, of deep melancholy, euphoria and despair. But also of an exhilarating late love that he no longer expected.
