Guided tour with Martina Korth in Lietzow
After meeting and getting acquainted at the level crossing Lietzow and first explanations about the place, its history and the castle, the participants go along the Great Jasmund Bodden into the forest. There they will be shown strikingly grown trees (beeches, black pines, oaks) and the growth forms with their biological and mystical meanings will be explained, such as twigs, multiple trunks, "trunk branches", dendrotelms and "bunny holes".
Afterwards, the nature and landscape guide Martina Korth explains the Semper manor house and its grounds. This is followed by a walk to the Süntel beech trees and then into the beech forest, where further mystical or ecologically interesting things are shown and explained. Here the participants can discover, for example, "witches' snares", forest honeysuckle, "screw trees" or "elves' eyes". Other special features are the "Oskar syndrome" in maples (decades of patient "waiting" of maples at a height of 1 - 2 m) and geotropism in tinder sponges. On the high shore path with a view of the Bodden further through the landscape.
On the beach there are two small experiments on the appearance and texture of beach sand and on the magnetism of individual components. And the animal world and its development will not be neglected.
