Kobekina and Summer
For this concert, the prizewinner in residence has invited a kindred spirit whose school was not only classical music, but also jazz. When Johanna Summer plays Schumann, he leaps into the present thanks to the pianist's improvisational skills. "For me, it's about getting into a state of consciousness in which I can let the source of my music bubble up," says the pianist. This was a good starting point for Anastasia Kobekina - and so the two of them teamed up to tackle works by FAURÈ and BACH in addition to SCHUMANN.
