GENESES All Sides Live Tour 2024/2025 Europe's biggest Genesis tribute show celebrates its 10th stage anniversary
Genesis' musical catalog is as diverse as it is fascinating. Over many decades, the band from the rural south of England has had a significant influence worldwide, from the prog rock of the early 70s to the stadium rock pop of the 80s and 90s.
Fans can look back on a discography that is as varied as a Rubik's cube - from complex and dazzling prog fireworks like Dancing with the moonlit knight or Abacab to radio hits like No son of mine and Jesus he knows me to ballads like Hold on my heart.
Bringing such an eclectic mix of works to the stage in a convincing and authentic way is no easy feat, but GENESES have been successfully mastering it for 10 years now.
To mark the anniversary, Europe's most successful Genesis tribute show is once again embarking on a major tour of Germany with the aim of illuminating all facets of the magic cube that is Genesis - All Sides Live! A perfect tribute to Genesis The band takes the changing character of their role model into account and impresses with instrumental class, including Richard Schaeffer on bass, who celebrates understatement as cool as Mike Rutherford, the great Kim Schwarz on drums, supported in typical Genesis style by Jacob Hansen on the second drum kit and their singer, Jean-Michael Brinksmeier. The latter makes it particularly clear that this is no mere copy of the British rock band Genesis, but an emancipated homage performed by six accomplished musicians.
Not forgetting a light show that underlines the effect of the songs in an excellently dosed manner, for example when a haunting veil of light floats through the band during Home By The Sea or white lightning flashes cut through the audience to match the intensity of Land Of Confusion. And then there's the sweet treat at the end, which finally breaks all the barriers of enthusiasm: The drum duet between Schwarz and Hansen, reminiscent of the legendary 1987 Wembley concert on the Invisible Touch tour, when Phil Collins and Chester Thompson worked the drums for six minutes before the whole band joined in for the finale - someone should imitate GENESES first!
