Stories of women and violence
Christina Clemm is a specialist lawyer for criminal law and family law in Berlin. She works as a criminal defence lawyer and joint plaintiff's representative for victims of sexualized and racially motivated violence.
Her first book "AktenEinsicht - Geschichten von Frauen und Gewalt" was published in 2020. The criminal defense lawyer tells how women regain self-respect and self-determination over their own lives after experiencing violence. She provides unusual insights into the work of justice and violence.
Most people affected by violence do not talk about their experiences. If they do talk, it is often only because there is no other way, because they have to fear for their lives, or because others can no longer look away and make it public and thus justiciable.
There are far too many who remain silent. They fear that they will not be believed and many still have all too good reasons for doing so...
Christina Clemm takes us into the courtrooms of the Republic, to the crime scenes, to the events of the crimes. These are stories that we will never forget.
Heidi Greßmann reads from the book - accompanied on the flute by Michaela Pracht.
