20th Boltenhagen Beach Tennis Cup 2023: Beach Tennis - More than just tennis in the sand!
Fast rallies in the air, the "Becker pike" in the sand and bare feet instead of white tennis socks: Beach Tennis is all about athleticism and fun to score points! With special beach tennis rackets, so-called "paddles", and pressure-reduced balls, the players show athletically demanding performances. Spectacular interludes and athletic tricks offer the spectators the best entertainment in a relaxed beach atmosphere. A good reaction and a lot of ball feeling characterize Beach Tennis players, who compete in tournaments almost exclusively in doubles or mixed.
Already for the 20th time from July 27 - 30, 2023, the Beach Tennis Cup will take place on the Baltic Sea beach in Boltenhagen. From a fixed idea has become in recent years, a sporting event, which is no longer excluded from the Boltenhagen calendar of events. It is the biggest beach tennis event at the Baltic Sea coast. With lively music, the players in colorful jerseys deliver fast-paced rallies in the sand.
Whether recreational athletes, vacationers, guests or active players, everyone is welcome to try out this trendy sport, which is becoming increasingly popular. It is played on 10 beach tennis courts, as well as a center court, directly at the pier in the Baltic resort Boltenhagen. The winners can expect prize money, cups, certificates and vouchers with a total value of over 1000,- Euro.
