It's Bluestime: In the tradition of the multi-award-winning Blue Wave Festival Binz, musicians from the international blues scene will be guests in Binz from 12 to 15 June. There will be plucking, drumming, swinging and singing in many places that will make New Orleans pale with envy.A special highlight are the »Pink Piano« concerts on the Kurplatz. Musicians meet there as soloists or in bands on the stage - an experience not only for blues connoisseurs.

Kai Strauss & The Electric Blues All-Stars (DEU, USA, GBR)
Singer and guitarist Kai Strauss is one of the musicians who give the blues its individual soul. "Even as a teenager, I was infected by the magic of Buddy Guy, Albert King or the Vaughan Brothers," says the musician who grew up in Germany's blues stronghold Osnabrück and who, together with his international band, is now regarded as one of the big names on the European scene.
From his professional start, when he teamed up with Texas (USA) born singer Memo Gonzalez in 1995, to his successful career as a solo artist, Kai Strauss has proven himself to be a guitarist and singer with power and originality.
Several German Blues Awards as well as appearances at renowned festivals from Europe to the Caribbean confirm that Strauss has arrived in the international "Blues Champions League". With "Night Shift", Kai Strauss has released his seventh album, and once again he succeeds in weaving his blues roots with elements of his own brand of funk and soul to create an exciting contemporary sound.
