Max and Philipp Koeppen have taken over the old pigsty and founded an adventure farm. In a "social business," they run creative workshops for ceramics, painting and sewing in addition to the village store and a café.
By taking over the old, converted pigsty in Poppendorf, the brothers Max and Philipp Koeppen have fulfilled a lifelong dream. They wanted to set up a business together - Max is a businessman, Philipp a social worker. So it made sense to set up a social enterprise. The economic operation consisting of a village store, café and online store as well as the operation of creative workshops for ceramic work, sewing and painting provide the basis for the personnel and operating costs. In the non-profit enterprise, the brothers cook food based on grandma & grandpa's recipes with seniors to counteract loneliness in old age. The products are then sold in the village store and online store. All surpluses go to prevention work against loneliness.
