Deep from the painter's soul emerge paintings full of force, unconventional and explosive as honest witnesses of a conscious life. Whit Monday 6 p.m. Music and words
Sabine U. Kamke paints almost private, very idiosyncratic and above all thoroughly honest pictures, driven as if by an inner leader, deep from the soul, explosive. Her creative urge usually comes in spurts, unbridled, like an attack. Impatient as she is, she abandons oil paints, which dry far too slowly, and paints with acrylics. During such a period, she hardly sleeps, isolates herself from outside contact and eats little. "My paintings tell me when they are finished." The message of her paintings is not apparent at first glance. Rather, questions arise, irritations. Colors, shapes and the composition of the paintings reflect personal moods and process-like spurts in the painter's inner development. The pictures are thus visible witnesses to a lively development that was not always characterized by joy, light and bright colors. The viewer's own memories are awakened and can trigger lively reactions. However, some people come to rest and find peace, confidence and hope at the latest in a personal conversation with the painter.
