Artist talk with Volkmar Herre

As part of the double exhibition "EIN:FLUSS:RAUM:MOOR & Volkmar Herre - Herrografie: Friedrich-Adaptationen", Volkmar Herre is showing his camera obscura images, which he captured in the run-up to the anniversary year at various locations in Greifswald, the surrounding area and on Rügen over the summer of 2023 using self-built pinhole cameras. In an artist talk and tour of the exhibition, the photographer reveals something about his connection to Caspar David Friedrich, the local landscape, the process of creating the works, the special light in the north and the photographic technique named after him.
