Stralsund Zoo invites you to an "Animal Advent Market"! From 13:00 to 17:00 you can expect a cozy Christmas atmosphere, exciting activities and animal highlights on the courtyard of the Ackerbürgerhaus: Presentation of crafts and Christmas offers from the zoo friends/ Story time for the little ones/ Photos with snowy owl Frederik/ Riding with Emily and Socke Our lantern parade to the polar wolves starts at 3:30 p.m. - and to top it all off, Santa Claus arrives on a small carriage pulled by our mini Shetland ponies with presents for the children. Popcorn, bratwurst, waffles, punch and much more will be served!

From 13:00 to 17:00, the courtyard of the historic Ackerbürgerhaus is transformed into a Christmas oasis that invites you to marvel and linger. Inside the cozy Göpel barn, the Friends of the Zoo present artistic handicrafts and the spinning women have taken up residence in the cozy kitchen of the Ackerbürgehaus. Here they have sheep's wool socks and co. ready for the cold season. On the courtyard square, friends of Stralsund Zoo will present their handiwork and offerings. At 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm, the zoo school will have wintry stories ready for the little guests - a fairytale treat for the Advent season.
There will also be plenty of animal highlights on this day: the majestic snowy owl Frederik and her friends will be on hand for unforgettable photos, while horse fans can ride on cold-blooded mare Emily and her partner Socke.
Of course, the Advent market also has plenty of food and drink. The "Delikätzchen" and the "Naschstuv" will spoil visitors with a variety of Christmas treats - from fragrant popcorn and hearty sausages to freshly baked waffles and warming punch or mulled wine.
A special highlight awaits at 3:30 pm: the lantern procession to the polar wolves. Accompanied by the lights, participants will learn exciting details about the polar wolves and the legendary figure of "Master Isegrim". The finale of the tour will delight children in particular: Santa Claus appears on a small carriage pulled by the zoo's cute mini Shetland ponies and brings presents from his bulging jute sack.
