Singing folk songs together with historian and musician Ralf Gehler and friends.
Traveling through other countries, one hears locals singing traditional songs more often than in this country. Somehow, people elsewhere have a more unbiased relationship with their folk music.
Yet here, too, there is a rich song culture - unfortunately too often forgotten. Folklorist, music researcher and musician Ralf Gehler likes to remind people of traditions. He knows the history of music very well. At this event, he sings German folk songs and traditional songs from Mecklenburg together with people who like to sing and museum visitors who spontaneously drop by. Slips of paper with lyrics for singing along will be handed out. In case of bad weather, the joint singing will take place in the farmhouse at Hufe 5.
Dates 2023: June 4, October 8, 3 p.m. each day.
Guests pay museum admission only. No additional admission for this event. Ask at the museum box office for the location of the event!
