On the 2nd Sunday in Advent, the Arbeitergesangsverein "Vorwärts" Rheinsberg e.V. and the Frauenchor Rheinsberg present their traditional concert program with Christmas choral music in the Schlosstheater - of course with coffee and stollen again this year.
About the Rheinsberger Frauenchor e.V.
The beginnings of the women's choir go back a long way. It was founded in the 1970s as a school choir for the schools in Rheinsberg. This choir was soon joined by amateur singers. From the 1990s, however, many singers left the choir - in the summer of 1996, the few remaining singers decided to re-establish the choir as a women's choir. Anette Schellenberg, a long-time choir singer and newly qualified choirmaster, agreed to take over as choirmaster. Since then, the Rheinsberg Women's Choir has enriched the musical and cultural life of Rheinsberg and the region at numerous events throughout the calendar year.
