Advent concert with the concert choir "vocal collegium rostock"
on December 8, 2024 at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm in the University Church in Rostock with the brass quintet "BlechMission" under the overall direction of Daniel Arnold.
The program is a treat for all lovers of classical choral music. Let yourself be carried away into a world of sublime melodies and powerful harmonies that warm the heart and make the soul vibrate.
Ave Maria - a romantic masterpiece full of grace and heartfelt beauty that reflects the baroque musicality of the famous Italian composer Giulio Caccini (1551 -1618), according to artistic director Daniel Arnold.
Jul, jul, strålande jul (German: "Weihnachten, Weihnachten, strahlendes Weihnachten") is probably the most famous work by the composer Gustaf Nordqvist and is as well-known in Sweden as 'Silent Night, Holy Night' is here.
At selected points, the audience is cordially invited to sing along to Christmas classics such as "Es ist ein' Ros entsprungen".

The "vocal collegium rostock" was founded in 1955. Its repertoire ranges from traditional songs to sacred choral music and musicals. The "vocal collegium rostock" has performed in St. Petersburg, Strasbourg, Riga, Vienna, Brussels, Barcelona and Gdansk. In June 2022, the "vocal collegium rostock" fulfilled its dream of bringing "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff to the stage in Rostock and Wismar. Most recently, the "vocal collegium rostock" performed a concert in the Kaufmannskirche Erfurt in October of this year as part of a concert tour to the beautiful capital of Thuringia and the surrounding area.
