Bruce Springsteen is one of the greats of international rock music. The Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame and over 130 million records sold make the Oscar winner and 20-time Grammy award winner one of the most successful musicians in the world. This year, he once again thrilled his fans in Europe with his legendary E-Street Band.
In his program "Thunder Road", songwriter Daniel Schmidgunst explores the stories behind Springsteen's songs and his path from working-class child to rock icon. With his intimate and pared-down performance, he proves once again why he is one of Springsteen's most authentic interpreters. A microphone, guitar, keyboard and saxophone - that's all he and his two musicians Marie Birkholz (saxophone) and Andreas König (piano) need.
