Klein Plasten, OT Rundling, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern An exhibition by 1A Klein Plasten e.V. With photos by Wolfgang Borrs
Before the farms were built, the site of today's Rundling in Klein Plasten consisted only of meadows and farmland and was owned by the last lord of the manor, Ernst von Blücher (1862-1945). In 1932, he sold his estate to the land settlement company "Hof und Hufe". In 1934, the Rundlingsdorf was built with 13 farmsteads, and after the war two more farmsteads were built at the railroad station.
For the first time, the exhibition on the 90th anniversary of the Rundling focuses on a number of residents. Through eight interviews, we learn about their history, their lives in the GDR and their lives today. Many families have been here for several generations.
The initiator and organizer of the exhibition is the association 1A Klein Plasten. The idea came about during a neighborhood meeting in preparation for the "90 Years of Rundling" anniversary events. The cultural consultant and author Rita Preuß conducted the interviews and wrote the texts. Berlin portrait photographer Wolfgang Borrs was commissioned to take the portraits of the interview participants (www.borrs.de).
The exhibition will be accompanied by a brochure, which will be presented for the first time at the opening.
