Hector Berlioz - Overture Le Corsaire, op. 21; Henri Dutilleux - Symphony No. 1; Camille Saint-Saëns - Symphony No. 3, op. 78 Organ Symphony

The English conductor Catherine Larsen-Maguire presents this French program for the first time in Schwerin. Berlioz' overture sparkles with vibrancy and ingenuity. A passionately independent composer, Henri Dutilleux wrote music that is refined, colorful and meticulously crafted. Symphony No. 1, his first orchestral work, established his international reputation. The program concludes with the Organ Symphony, one of Saint-Saëns' most popular works.

musical direction: Catherine Larsen-Maguire
