In 2025 we will continue to celebrate the festival by Malchowers for Malchowers and their guests!
The Malchow folk festival is the oldest town festival in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It has been held regularly on the first weekend in July every year since 1853.
The focus has always been on cultural education and the festival has never been held for commercial purposes. In 2014, the folk festival was added to the national list of intangible cultural heritage.
