On Saturday, 27.04.2024, locals and guests will have the opportunity to explore everything the Recknitz Valley bird park region has to offer in one go. On this first market and trade fair day at the Ostseemühle in Langenhanshagen, visitors can talk to the many local suppliers between 10 am and 4 pm.
They are familiar from the beautifully drawn hidden object map, which is displayed in XXL format at many stations in the region, but also on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst Peninsula, to attract visitors to the coastal foreland: Artists, artisans, regional food producers, canoe rental companies and fishing clubs, as well as vacation accommodation providers, tourism companies, restaurateurs, adventure providers, museums and galleries, representatives of municipalities and towns - visitors have the opportunity to find out who is behind the pictures on the fantastic boards. They all present themselves on this day and offer space for inspiration, new collaborations and new ideas for the further development of the region.
The Recknitz Valley bird park region is still a relatively young tourist destination. The tourism association of the same name was founded 11 years ago and has been working to develop and promote the coastal foothills between Recknitz, Trebel and Barthe ever since. The association now has just under 100 members and they all appeal to more than just holidaymakers as their customers. On the market and trade fair day at the Ostseemühle, the association actively works to weave a close-knit network between all suppliers.
Of course, there are also sales and tastings. As host, the Ostseemühle offers coffee and cake as well as other culinary specialties. Visitors can look forward to a wide range of regional and organic products in the oil mill's spacious farm store.
