Puppet theater for young and old.
Once upon a time there was a boy who was good for nothing. He preferred to sleep and eat, and his greatest pleasure was doing something. He didn't want to learn anything at school, was lazy and bad to people and animals. One Sunday morning, when he annoyed an elf, he was turned into a little thumbelina as punishment. Astonished by his transformation, he realizes that he now also understands the language of animals. A flock of geese makes him curious about flying and, more by chance than anything else, he goes on an adventurous journey with them. He hears the most amazing stories, and when they return, he is much wiser than before.
At Theater Vorpommern, the adventures of the thumb-sized Nils Holgersson are brought to the stage by and with puppeteer Birgit Schuster and promise an imaginative and child-friendly production.
