He who writes, stays. A beautiful thought, isn't it? And what you have in black and white, yes, yes... Writing puts things in order, opens doors, broadens the view. And although writing is increasingly falling behind in an age of richly illustrated voice messages, it is and remains my way of thinking about myself and the world.

I have mainly written song lyrics, probably around five hundred in all these years. And new things still occur to me, things still excite me, I am still on the road and searching for myself. But with all this, there must also be a pause, a moment to look back and reflect. When, if not now, did I say to myself, and here it is, my literary self-assurance, that it is by no means everything, but that it is already quite a lot.

Some people will ask whether it is necessary to explain my texts afterwards. The question is justified, because that would be fatal. And that's not how the collection is intended. But since the finished texts are usually preceded by thoughts and in turn lead to others, and since cross-connections and reciprocal references arise or different facets of the same topic emerge, this selection and compilation has become an often surprising and also somewhat adventurous, sometimes thought-provoking and also quite cheerful journey through my life to date. And it is my invitation to you to wander curiously through the literary landscape that opens up through the texts. It is obvious that we will inevitably meet in the process.
