The Wieck Information Center is located in the middle of thatched fishing cottages and quaint fish restaurants. In addition to information about the fishing village and the Greifswald Bodden sailing area, countless maritime souvenirs await visitors.
From Greifswald's museum harbor, a beautiful towpath leads over 5 km along the River Ryck to the tranquil fishing village of Wieck. The wooden bascule bridge built in 1887, which is still opened by hand several times a day for shipping traffic, is impressive right at the entrance to the village. After crossing the bridge (the bridge can only be crossed by car with a special permit), you can explore the listed fishing village.
The Wieck information desk is located on the first floor of the SCHIPP IN guesthouse, not far from the harbor office. Here you can find information about the fishing village of Wieck and the town's own sailing training ship, the Greif, as well as books, postcards, souvenirs and much more.
