The White Bridges with the view of the Knieper Pond is the short and idyllic connection between the Tribseer Vorstadt and the old town of Stralsund.
The two white bridges on the man-made Küterdamm, are a popular sight. They span the Knieperteich, which is more of a lake on which you can take small tours with pedal boats or rowboats.
The way across the Knieperteich used to be one of several trade routes and still leads through the Kniepertor into the old town. As part of the former urban fortifications, the White Bridges are now a small recreational area and ideal for escaping the tourist hustle and bustle.
From here, the Knieperteich offers a very special photo motif for the Marienkirche. Especially at sunset, when the quiet water reflects the old town, you can photograph a wonderful vacation motif.
