Water adventure

Water hikers will find pristine natural landscapes and relaxation on day or multi-day canoeing trips in the Mecklenburg Lake District. Countless waterways, sparkling lakes and beautiful water lilies enchant with unspoiltness and silence. If you are looking for solitude, you will find it here. Many of the flowing waters have only a mild current and are therefore also suitable for beginners.

The Neustrelitz water sports club offers combined cycling and canoeing tours for groups by appointment. Candiers, kayaks and dragon boats can be rented. A boat transfer to the starting and finishing points of water tours is available on request. There is also a parking lot for caravans and tents, and electricity is available. The sanitary facilities in the club building can be used. For further information please click here.

The kick-off for the creation of our climate forests in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern took place on November 28, 2007 near Neustrelitz, where the first 100 sessile oaks were planted on an area of approx. 2,000 m². Financing was provided by the rail travel specialist Ameropa and the MeetMV conference pool of the MV tourism association through the purchase of forest shares designed for this purpose.
