The water show wheel was officially inaugurated on August 15, 2015 in the presence of many visitors. Now, after 101 years, a water wheel is turning again at the Bolter Mühle mill in Boek. The Bolter Mühle, now a hotel, is one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in the municipality of Rechlin.
Every guest on the way to the campsites, the Müritzparadies vacation village or the Müritz National Park village of Boek has to pass the beautiful old watermill just as inevitably as the many hundreds of canoeists who launch their boats here at the new starting point of the "Alte Fahrt" water hiking route. Making the historic building recognizable as a watermill was a joint concern of the tourism experts and the municipality of Rechlin.
Initially, it was just an idea to reinstall a waterwheel in its old location, but the project began back in 1993. This was the first time that UEQ's hard-working employees cleared the millrace, which was several meters high with rubble. In 2011, the outflow to the Bolter Canal was repaired. The work was completed in 2015.
