Cool off under the open sky, in a well-kept facility in the middle of the forest. This is the right way to enjoy a hot summer day. Since there are no natural bathing waters in the immediate vicinity of Vellahn, the forest bath was built more than 30 years ago.
About one kilometer off the federal highway 5, between Vellahn and Brahlstorf, lies idyllically hidden in the forest the forest pool.
The well-maintained facility has two water pools: a large one for swimmers and another for children to splash around in. Play and climbing equipment, a table tennis table and a volleyball court offer further opportunities to spend an active and at the same time relaxing day here in good weather. A special attraction is the 35-meter-long slide that leads directly into the cool water.
From the large sun terrace you have a wonderful overview of the facility with its spacious sunbathing lawn and shady trees for those who do not want to be completely exposed to the sun. While the chirping of birds and the tapping of woodpeckers punctuate the heavenly tranquility, the Waldbad also offers something for the eye in addition to bathing pleasure: probably nowhere else in the region does a public bath have such lovingly laid out and tended flower borders.
In addition to swimming lessons, playground equipment rental, a barbecue area and sufficient parking spaces right next to the bath, there are also RV parking spaces for several days. Bicycle tours or hikes through the forest- and meadow-rich area could start from here. An interesting destination could also be the Bruchmühle, which is located only a few minutes away from the bath in the forest.
