In the Gothic fieldstone and brick church from the 14th century there are unique memorial plaques and a valuable carved altar from the 15th century.
The village church of Garwitz is a Gothic fieldstone and brick building from the 14th century. In 1996 the bell tower next to the church was completely restored and since then shows itself with its two bells as a particularly worth seeing and open building. Rarely seen are wooden plaques inside the church, which commemorate the Garwitz fallen of the First and Second World War and of 1870/71. Equally valuable is a carved altar from the 15th century, which depicts the crucifixion in great detail and with a particularly large number of figures. In 1854 the German organ builder Johann Heinrich Runge delivered the organ, which is still in use today.
