At around 58 meters, Streckelsberg is the third highest elevation on the Island of Usedom. Surpassed in height only by the Golm and the Kückelsberg, the cliff edge dune was formed during the last ice age as a push moraine and is located southeast of the Baltic resort Koserow and the village of Kölpinsee.
Shortly before the seaside resort Koserow rises the approx. 60 m high Streckelsberg, it is the highest elevation on the coast of the Island of Usedom. You have a magnificent view to the Island of Rügen, to the Greifswalder Oie and to the Polish island Wollin Misdroy. The Streckelsberg is a natural paradise in whose almost 200-year-old beech forests orchids such as the rare red woodland bird and liverworts bloom. At the former Koserow observation tower, an almost free-floating tree root directly on the steep coast offers a unique photo motif.
