One info - all info! In Waase, the first and largest village on the Rügen island of Ummanz, the Ummanz-Info is the first point of contact for guests and locals. Here you can find the full program. Whether accommodations, excursions or insider tips - there is something for everyone here. The island promises relaxing tranquility away from the tourist strongholds and scores with quiet corners and hidden treasures. A seemingly endless natural landscape - this is the best way to describe Rügen's little sister. There are no big hotels, promenades and highways here. Instead, vastness, silence and seclusion. As in another time, fishermen land their fish in the early morning hours. In spring and autumn thousands of cranes rest here - a unique natural spectacle! In the evening the sun sinks fire-red into the sea.

Only one bridge connects the island of Ummanz, surrounded by reeds and dikes, with the Island of Rügen. The adjacent National Park of Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft promises recreation in almost untouched nature. The Ummanz-Info holds an exhibition about the national park for its visitors. In addition to nature, arts and crafts also play a major role. Whether pottery, watercolor or jewelry design - for the creative, big and small, there is certainly something suitable. The active also get their money's worth. Walking on the dike, paddling on the Bodden or a bike tour - the Ummanz-Info is the perfect starting point for an exploration of the Rügen island Ummanz. Behind the Ummanz-Info is also the St. Mary's Church Waase, the only church on the island. The special thing? The Gothic carved altar from Antwerp from 1502. Built for England, this found its place on Ummanz.

Climate forest Haidhof

The Haidhof climate forest covers an area of just under one hectare and is made up of red oaks, sweet chestnuts and hazel trees in combination with various woodland edge trees. At several planting events in the fall since 2011, guests and residents have been able to talk to foresters and forest campaigners about the climate forests on the Island of Rügen while enjoying children's games, campfires and wild sausages.
