Karlshagen in the north of the Island of Usedom is a Baltic resort that is made for families, campers, cyclists and water sports enthusiasts. There is the Baltic Sea with the fantastically wide beach on one side - and the Peene River with the idyllic marina on the other.

The Baltic resort of Karlshagen is a vacation paradise for the whole family: the fine white "egg timer sand" is up to 80 meters wide here - plenty of room for blob castle builders, bathing mermaids and sun worshippers. The water temperatures are also warmer than elsewhere on the Baltic Sea, as the shallow water is well preheated by the sun over the first 100 meters. This pleases all water rats and especially children enjoy a safe bathing under the watchful eyes of the lifeguards.

Premiere in M-V: Karlshagen is the first place in M-V to have a spa director for Kids & Teens, who always has an open ear for the young guests, takes their wishes in consultation hours and of course has her own suggestions. There are plenty of "tips for kids" in Karlshagen: the "Kinderinfothek" at www.karlshagen.de provides clear information for little Baltic Sea dwarfs. During the beach break, it's worth visiting "Karlchen's Magic Forest" - a large playground behind the dunes in the middle of the shady pine forest.

Campers and water sports enthusiasts can also look forward to paradisiacal conditions in the Baltic resort of Karlshagen. The alarm clock in the 5-star dune camp knows only one melody: a soothing sound of the sea. All year round, the campsite, which has won awards for its quality and family-friendliness, attracts young camper families and traditional campers.

The place is located in the area where the Peene River flows into the Greifswald Bodden. This area is one of the best German fishing grounds, as the mixture of salt and fresh water promises a colorful mix of species and makes some grow into true giants. From the boat, crocodile-caliber pike are biting here. The idyllic marina on the Peene River, with slipways and guest moorings for boats, has become the largest mooring on the German part of the island. Anglers anchor here as well as sailors, passenger ships and motor yachts.

In short: Karlshagen offers a vacation experience for the whole family 365 days a year.
