Wismar Tourist Information is open all year round for visitors to the city. Information, guided tours, souvenirs, advice on accommodation and much more is offered to the guest. Since 2014, the tourist information is located in the ensemble of buildings in Lübsche Straße 23.

Experience Wismar, discover Wismar, building culture and city history, curiosities and anecdotes - get to know this picturesque city of world format on a guided tour of Wismar:

  • On the traces of a city history of world format (March to October, daily 10.30 a.m.)
  • SOKO guided tour, in the footsteps of the popular television series (March to October, Fridays 4 p.m.)
  • Guided tour of the city with Klaus Störtebeker (March to October, December, Saturdays 3 p.m.)
  • Evening night watchman tour (March to April, September to December, Fridays 6 p.m.)

Accessibility information

  • No parking space available for people with disabilities. General parking (with parking meter) is available 30 meters away.
  • Access to the building can be through the World Heritage House via a ramp (80 cm wide with a slope of 8%) or through the main entrance via three steps.
  • All rooms usable and elevated for the guest are accessible at ground level.
  • All passages/doors are at least 80 cm.
  • The counter in the customer room is 110 cm high.
    • There is an alternative communication option while seated.
  • Guided tours are offered for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users. Advance reservation is requested.
  • Tour guides are trained so that guests with walking disabilities and wheelchair users can participate in any tour and their concerns are addressed.
  • There is no inductive hearing system.
  • Assistance dogs may be brought along.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.
  • Aids offered: reading aids
  • There is no information available in plain language.
  • The destination of the path is usually within sight or wayfinding signs are available at a constantly visible distance.

Public WC for people with disabilities in the World Heritage House.

  • The movement areas are:
    • 140 cm x 55 cm to the left of the WC, 100 cm x 55 cm to the right;
    • in front of the WC, the washbasin and the door at least 200 cm x 200 cm.
  • There are fold-up grab rails on both sides of the WC.
  • The washbasin is accessible from underneath and the mirror can be viewed while standing or sitting.
  • There is no alarm trigger.
