Jasmin Löber and Tonio Schmidt-Löber produce artistic ceramics for everyday use in their 3rd generation pottery. Handwork and an elaborate firing process in the wood fire make all vessels unique. The workshop with sales barn, located in a rural courtyard idyll, invites you to linger and choose.
Welcome to our pottery in Saal!
Jasmin Löber and Tonio Schmidt-Löber continue the family tradition in the third generation and create artistic ceramics for everyday use. For over 40 years, Reinhart and Charis Löber produced high-quality and vibrant ceramics in the Saal pottery workshop. This tradition is now being continued by the younger generation with fresh ideas. In our wood-fired kiln, unique stoneware pieces with a natural look and robust beauty are created at around 1300 °C.
Our pottery is surrounded by idyllic nature, close to the Saaler Bodden and not far from Fischland-Darß - a place full of inspiration for creative work.
Each pot is lovingly and painstakingly made by hand. From preparing the clay to turning on the potter's wheel, attaching handles, decorating and painting to removing from the kiln, each piece goes through up to 20 work steps. We mix the glazes ourselves from predominantly regional and natural raw materials such as granite, chalk and clay.
The traditional wood firing process and direct contact with open flames, salt and ash make each vessel unique. The fire gives the pieces their very own, unmistakable character.
The high firing temperature and our salt glaze ensure excellent usage properties: our ceramics are dishwasher-safe, durable, leak-proof and acid-resistant.
Our range includes a wide selection: cups, bowls, plates, teapots, vases, planters, storage jars, fermentation pots, citrus presses, candlesticks, jugs, baking tins, washbasins and much more. We are also happy to realize special designs within the scope of our possibilities. Please note that individual orders have a lead time of around three months due to the complex production process.
Visit our sales barn and be inspired by the variety of our ceramics. We are also happy to meet you at markets where we present our work.
We look forward to your visit!
