A lively look into the past and discover the history of tiles, ovens and the master potters.
A stove, just like grandma used to have! Hardly any other piece of furniture is as steeped in history as the old tiled stove. The family gathered around it on cold evenings, it served as a cooking area and, of course, as a showpiece, because ornately decorated stoves in castles or manor houses were not just about practicality for a long time. Experience tiled stoves from the original model to faience and Jungendstil tiled stoves through to standard GDR models.
In the former tile pottery, which has been preserved in its original state, you can also see a variety of tiles and tile-making equipment. The technical monument with its clay cellar, kiln, winch for pulling the clay to the upper floors and drying areas brings history to life and lets us relive another era.
