Permanent exhibition and information center on crane protection

In the important resting area of the cranes, the Darß-Zingster-Boddenkette, the NABU Crane Center in Groß Mohrdorf is located about 14 km northwest of Stralsund since September 1996. Since 2017, NABU has been the sole shareholder of Kranichschutz Deutschland. Since then, the center has been called the NABU Crane Center.

In the permanent exhibition, which is open all year round, you have the opportunity to learn everything about the gray crane and its relatives. Informative display boards, audio-visual media and taxidermy give an insight into the life of these impressive large birds. Admission is free for individuals.
