Spend your vacation in the Schaalsee region of Mecklenburg in the small village of Klocksdorf at Röggeliner See in a relaxed atmosphere in our thatched cottage built in 1689.

There are a total of four bedrooms - three of them with double bed and one with two single beds (two more sleeping possibilities on the sofa bed in the living room), a living room with dining area, stove and kitchenette as well as a newly renovated shower room with toilet and a separate guest toilet. The house with its rustic charm offers modern living comfort combined with antique furniture and fixtures. The spacious living room and kitchen with a cozy corner bench invites you to cook, eat and get together. Hiking and biking maps as well as gastronomic recommendations and recreational events are available for our visitors. Barbecue with your relatives and friends on the terrace, sit relaxed in the garden or enjoy a cozy evening watching TV.

Rehna is home to one of the most beautiful and largest preserved monastery complexes in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The monastery offers space for art, theater and music and is a focal point for pilgrimage and long-distance hiking. Particularly worth seeing are the large monastery garden, the late Romanesque monastery church, the Kneipp basin on the monastery grounds, and the pretty town of Rehna with its half-timbered buildings.

Renaissance castle Gadebusch

The Renaissance castle from 1573 is especially known for the detailed terracotta decorations on the facade. Currently, the 16th century building is undergoing extensive renovation. The castle can be visited on guided tours during events such as the Open Monument Day.

Only a few minutes away from the main building of the Folklore Museum lies the "Bechelsdorfer Schulzenhaus", the oldest hall house in the country.

Schaalsee-Camp - camping site and canoe station

The Schaalsee-Camp is located between the Schaalsee and the Salemer See. Campfire sites, covered wagons and teepees to spend the night make the charm of this place (no permanent campers). Guests in caravans, mobile homes or tents are of course welcome. From the canoe or bicycle you can explore the slightly hilly landscape.

The former inner-German border strip, the "Green Belt", is virtually predestined to be further enhanced by the creation of new forest areas. So it was only logical to add another climate forest to the existing ones in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from summer 2010. The first planting campaign took place in April 2011. The total area consists of three parcels of land, two of which were reforested as part of the planting campaign with the Schwerin energy supplier WEMAG.
