Ueckermünde is a small, placid harbour town at the south bank of the ‘Stettiner Haff’. In the surfing scene this region is still widely unknown and due to this the spot can indeed be seen as an insiders’ tip. The lavishly and lovingly refurbished beach resort is the youngest in Germany and stands out due to its infrastructure and family friendliness. You can park directly at the main entrance. From there it is only a few metres to the water. Moreover people travelling with bigger cars or a motorhome have the possibility to stay at a parking site near the beach. A restaurant as well as diverse snack options at a push you can find on site. Unfortunately in the summer season from May 15 until September 15 surfing is not permitted in Ueckermünde. Then you should fall back on the beach ‘Zimmerplatz’ in Bellin, which is only three kilometres far away. The spot is convenient for wind directions from northwest to southeast.
