On the eastern shore of the Breitling, you will find a small but fine shallow water area and a water sports school when the wind blows from the southwest to the northwest. And it's only a 20-minute drive from Rostock.
The spot is located on the eastern shore of Breitling, a small bay at the mouth of the Warnow River. Near the small village of Stuthof, which still belongs to Rostock, you are largely cut off from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, if you do get bored, a passenger ship runs from here from May to September and you can cross over to the other bank of the Warnow. In addition to the traditional inn, there is a surfing school that can teach you windsurfing as well as sailing and stand-up paddling. Due to the sufficiently large standing area and the interesting view of Warnemünde, this spot is definitely worth a trip. Kitesurfers are also welcome here, but should keep a sufficient distance from the surf school. The spot is suitable for wind directions from SW to NW.
Equipment:
- Offer of the surf school - windsurfing, sailing, SUP, kayak/ canoe.
- Parking facilities > 250 m far away, fee required
