The spot at the Salzhaff offers shallow water deluxe! You can park in front of or on the campsite. Day tickets are available at the reception. The Salzhaff is very shallow and the standing area is therefore extremely large. Especially windsurfers have to walk further out at low tide so that the fin doesn't involuntarily become an anchor. Pepelow shows its best side with southwest to north.
Once known mainly among locals and insiders, the spot has now become one of the most popular surf spots in the region. The large standing area and the surf schools located there with their extensive framework program have become widely known and ensure that even on windless days no boredom arises. The direct proximity to the camping site and the good infrastructure as well as the family friendliness also contribute to the popularity. In the summer months, due to the shallow water depth of the Salzhaff, extensive sea grass meadows can form and access to the water can be somewhat difficult on good windy days. You also have to be especially considerate of bathers during this time. When the wind blows from north to northwest, the Wustrow peninsula shields the wind somewhat. All in all, Pepelow is clearly worth a trip. The spot is suitable for wind directions from SW to N.
