In Kägsdorf you surf best with southwest. Then the wind blows sideshore and brings a decent wave with wind forces around 5 Beaufort. Since it is quite chaotic near the shore, the spot is only partly suitable for beginners. You can park your surfmobile on the large parking lot right behind the dune.
The small dreamy village Kägsdorf is located between the two big Baltic resorts Kühlungsborn and Rerik. The somewhat secluded spot with its idyllic Baltic Sea beach and good parking facilities directly on site has long been a well-known and excellent wave spot. When the wind blows southwest, the waves break on an offshore sandbank and put a smile on the face of the kiter or windsurfer. Since the conditions in Kägsdorf are not quite easy and the shorebreak is quite heavy, the spot is only conditionally suitable for beginners. A highlight is the annual Zuparken Festival, which attracts up to 1,000 visitors on a weekend with its varied program around surfing. The spot is suitable for wind directions from SW to N.
