Dierhagen is a first-class wave spot from west to northeast. Since there are no groynes here, even beginners can venture into the Baltic waves.
Dierhagen is located between the Saaler Bodden and the Baltic Sea at the entrance to the Fischland-Darß-Zingst Peninsula. Unfortunately, kiting is not allowed on the Bodden side. On the seaward side, kiters are allowed on the water between beach access 23 and 24 at a section of about 200 meters. At beach access 17 you will find a small surf school, which offers courses for windsurfing and stand-up paddling. You can also rent equipment on the spot. On the water you have free way in all directions, because there are no groynes here. However, you should pay special attention to the bathers in summer. It is recommended to keep a sufficient distance to the beach. A little tip for the winter: Ice sailing on the Saaler Bodden is a tradition in Dierhagen. The spot is suitable for wind directions from W to NE.
