Born is a classic Bodden spot with few waves and a lot of standing area. Best freeride action is provided by the southwest - then you can surf along the reed-covered Bodden coast without stress. But also with all other wind directions from southeast to west there is a lot going on here. But please respect the boundaries of the national park.
The Born spot is located on the Saaler Bodden. It is not only one of the most popular spots in the region for locals, but also a popular destination for water sports vacationers. The spot offers a lot of variety due to the various leisure activities on water and on land. Due to the large shallow water area, beginners as well as pros feel comfortable. There is enough space on land to set up your equipment. Only when launching and landing you have to arrange with other water sports enthusiasts on good wind days. The campground on site offers you inexpensive overnight accommodations and a small snack bar. In the village you will also find various restaurants and shopping facilities. The spot is suitable for wind directions from SE to W.
